11 Rules

I think rule number one will be the most important in my post high-school life. "Rule 1: Life is not fair, get used to it." This applies it's-self already, nothing goes the same for everybody, you won't have a big home, make a large amount of money, and get whatever else you want just because somebody else does. If you want or need something, do it on your own. Even then there isn't any guarantee it'll work out the way you think it should.

US Gun Laws

US Gun Laws

I believe the US does need to improve it's gun laws. We are facing many, many deaths related to guns and the rates in other countries aren't nearly as high as the ones in the US (9,000 [US], 170 [Germany], 150 [150]). These deaths all took place last year.
They could be improved by letting soldiers in the military carry guns in combat, and police officers who need more that a taser. And then make the gun license's more difficult to obtain; maybe a psychiatric evaluation test, or a stronger, stricter background test.

Canoe Home

I think Michael should be able to live where he is. He's not hurting anybody, breaking any laws, and on the water he isn't really in any ones way. If he understands the risks and wants this anyway, he should be allowed to. He has a vest, and knows what to do if he has any trouble.

Is It Fair? - TWC

Is It Fair?

I think it isn't fair that TWC is charging people to use a modem because, it is their equipment. It's also their business and they can do what they want, but, they're only doing this for money. I have TWC and the small fee for a modem won't add up to much compared to what the cable fee already is. The fact that they did it just to make more money in wrong though, because people do need a modem.
Violating the contract they wrote is different though, they set rules and they broke them. They have been upping prices and that's not breaking any rules, not notifying their costumers was.

Great Essays

I believe this article was helpful because it really outlines what we need in our essay, and tells us how to build them so people stay interested. It also explained clearly what the structure should be, what to open with and what should go first. Having read this will help me in future essays for sure.

Necessary For Presenting

Our group has all the information, and ideas, but we need to put them into a slideshow. We have started the GooglePresentation already, now we simply need to put the research Doc into the presentation. Afterwards practicing should be necessary. Then nothing will be left to do before finally presenting.

Bacon Shortage

The drought has caused a shortage in the supply of pig food itself, this caused the shortage because pigs are becoming harder to raise until slaughter because there is less food to feed them due to less rain.

Good Presentations

Good Presentations

I believe a good presentation should be made by someone who knows the topic well. They need to understand what they themselves are saying and help the audience understand also. The animation is definitely optional, and while it does look nice to a degree, it can be distracting. The handouts in my opinion are a good idea, but don't make them to distracting or you may find yourself in the with the same problem as with the animation, depending on the audience. And most important, don't use only words. You need pictures and graphs or anything to keep it from being boring or less understandable.

Summer Reading - Bleach
Over this summer sumer I reread a Manga that I enjoyed when I was younger. I read the first three volumes of the series. But I’m only talking about the first volume.
The three, biggest main characters in this book were Itchigo, Rukia, Orihime & Yasutora.

In the first volume it begins when Itchigo Kurosaki’s family is attacked by a Hollow - an evil spirit that has not yet passed on, and he meets Rukia, a Soul Reaper.
Soul Reapers hunt these Hallows. Itchigo must absorb half of Rukia’s powers to save his family, but accidentally takes all of it. After defeating the Hallow he meets Rukia again at his school and she explains that because he absorbed each drop of her dark power he must take her place as a Soul Reaper.
While Itchigo refuses at first he soon takes the job. And when his friend is attacked by a Hallow he must protect her and then help the Hallow it's self.
In the end of the book it talks a bit about Chad, or Yasutora, getting a bad luck parrot and he get’s into quite the accident, proving the parrot really is bad luck.

Judge: YouTube doesn't have to take down anti-Islam video

I do not think justice was served but I think that the woman should get over the fact that she didn't know what she was appearing in. She was the one who needed who pay more attention but the producer also could have been more clear with what the video was about.

The Tell-Tale Heart

In the beginning of The Tell-Tale Heart, you hear someone telling you to listen to his or her story. This person says they will be calm, but by the end, you know they were not.

This person, lets say he's a boy named Kyle. Kyle is sneaking into an old mans room, to kill him. When the man wakes up Kyle must be patient and wait until he goes back to sleep. When the man is unsuspecting, Kyle attacks.
The man shrieks but soon is dead. The boy cuts up the body and cunningly hide the limbs under the floor boards starting with the head.

Soon the police arrive after a neighbor heard the shriek. Kyle invitingly welcomes them in and search the home, telling them he shrieked after a nightmare, and the man is not home.
The boy hears them talk and starts going insane when his ears are ringing and a heart is beating. In his eyes the officers are mocking him, and looses it. The boy, is most certainly crazy.

Underage Drinking

I think the couple should be charged because they needed to pay more attention to their own party.
They set a bad example and the kids paid the price for the couples mistake in not laying a line on where to stop the party.
